Looking out from the Dog Run

Thanksgiving  & Christmas Susanne and Larry Owners

Christmas Parties, Thanksgiving, Card Games and of course Texas Holdem, We had one couple who came back from Las Cruces just to play games.  Loved being the Activities Director, had fun playing corn toss and horseshoes as well as shuffle board.

Large park in the desert use to be the old Amado Greyhound Race track, bought back a lot of memories from my teen age years.  They have turned the large building into the clubhouse, offices, and rec room.  There is a salt water swimming pool, spa, shuffle board, darts and huge room to have dances in as well as the activity room for all to meet. Laundry room is big with plenty of washers and dryers.

The park located about 40 min. from Tucson and just down the road from Green Valley and Tubac (a wonderful artist community) there is the Amado Artist Territory just before you get to the park which is a must see.  And only 20 min. from Nogales, Mexico.

All sites are back in, (there are plans in the future for larger pull through sites),  81 spaces with 50 amps full hook ups.  Well maintained park, the cost is about $29.95 + tax per day.  This is not one of our RV park memberships.
We are camp host for the season.

If you are on your way down to Mexico this is a great stop over RV park and would be great to stay in for several days as there is a lot too see around this area.  Shopping is in Green Valley about 8 miles away and yes there is a Super Wal-Mart.

Mike and I are work camping here for the winter, I am in the office and doing the activities, he is maintenance and security.  We are among 5 camp hosts, Lou and Joyce, Ken & Marylou we are becoming great friends.  Suppose to be here till May, we will see how it works out.

****Parks we would stay in again, large pull through, full hook ups, well maintained, activities, 50/30 amps
***Parks we would stay but do not have activities full hook ups/30 amps & or /have backins only
**Parks that do not have pull-through (back in only),30 amps, traffic noise, railroad noise
(since Mike retired from the railroad this is the number one thing we do not need to hear )
*Would absolutely not go back
