RV parks, RV resorts, camping, travels, photos

Since we have been staying at our Resort parks, there are many, I have added a page where you can pick the park you want to see All Parks
October 21-Nov. 5th 2008
Charleston Peak RV Resort & Winery
Western Horizon (ROD)

Our Site 710

The Park is located west of 360 on Winery RD.  It has over 150 sites all long backins, 50 Amps and gravel with concert slab by the way they are easy to back in, there is a separate row just for the pet lovers to park in that makes it great also.  A very clean park with plenty to do at the clubhouse. You are first greeted by 2 very pleasant ladies, they have a smile every time you see them.

You are still in driving distance to the casinos and town for shopping (about 8min), there are planned activities here at the park, the first night here we played limit Texas Hold'em, not one of Mike's favorite games but I came home with his money and mine, something for everyone.  It is quiet and thank goodness no lights at your site to keep you awake.  The weather here at this time of year is very comfortable no need for air conditioners nor heat at night.  There are Winery tours to take and taste and there is a Restaurant right here on the grounds, have been told very expensive to eat there but have not tried it.  I know Mike & I will probably give it a try before we leave.

****Parks we would stay in again, large pull through, full hook ups,
well maintained, activities, 50/30 amps
***Parks we would stay but do not have activities full hook ups/30 amps & or /have back ins only
**Parks that do not have pull-through (back in only),30 amps, traffic noise, railroad noise
(since Mike retired from the railroad this is the number one thing we do not need to hear )
*Would absolutely not go back
