Camp Verde Western Horizon RV Park
Camp Verde, AZ
We came to this park using ROD and stayed 14 nights. There are full hook ups and semi full (only water and electric no septic) The full hook ups are 30 amps where most of the semi sites are 50 amps so you either have 50 amps or you have septic, we choose septic so we ended up spending 4 nights in the no septic area while waiting for a site then on the 4th day we moved to septic, the park is large around 127 sites, plenty of space in between the rigs and they do have grass ( really they are weeds but they do get mowed). The staff is very friendly and the volunteers cook great food. Peak season is from Nov.-April 30th with plenty of activities going on every day with the breakfast to dinners and entertainment that is great!
There is a great clubhouse
Large outdoor pool and spa, golf practice range, horseshoes, miniature golf and plenty of room to walk. The Verde River runs at the back of the property and is a nice walk with the water running lots of cottonwood trees.
The park is located about 40 min. from Sedona and there is a lot too see and do around here, there is a Walmart just up the road so you can shop when you get here. There is also a train that takes you around the Verde Hills and through the canyon , a site worth the money!
You can use your ROD, RPI, WHR or AOR to stay.
****Parks we would stay
in again, large pull through, full hook ups, well maintained, activities, 50/30 amps |
***Parks we would stay but do not have activities full hook ups/30 amps
**Parks that do not have pull-through (back in only),30 amps, traffic noise, railroad noise
(since Mike retired from the railroad this is the number one thing we do not need to hear )
*Would absolutely not go back
