Since we have been staying at our Resort parks, there are many, I have added a page where you can pick the park you want to see All Parks
****Thousand Trails Palm Springs
Palm Desert, Calf

77500 Varner RD

The park does not look as good as 2014, there is a water restriction and
cannot water the grass such a shame, otherwise still the same great folks, I do miss seeing Nancy and Ray.  Have had fun finally playing Texas holdem, on Thursday been walking away with what I started with $5 and on Sunday have come in 3rd both times won $18 the first time and $22 the next. Craft sells are on Friday and I have been doing ok, sold 8 of the Seahawks place mats and lots of Puzzle CD's ( I am going out of business with the CD's) all new computers are being sold without a DVD drive.
We move on the 23rd to Pilot Knob for one week and then we will head onto St. David where I will once again be Activates Director.

Oct. 11th, Nov. 1 and Jan. Feb March

As most of you know we spend the winter here for the last 3 years, back and forth from this park to Indian Waters.  We have made a lot of friends over the years including Kathy Howerton, the activity director previous years here at TT. Kathy passed away in August she will be missed.  Sue is now the new Activity Director, I meet her today and she seems very likable, she has planned many old and new activities will let everyone know how she does later in the season.

Jan. 25-Feb 15th & 2010
Our Site 2

The Park is located off of the I-10 Freeway exit Washington, in Palm Desert, Ca

The sites are long and tight getting into but they are wide enough not to be on top of each RV.  The palms in some cases do get in the way of reception for TV's. We were lucky as this was not a problem for us.   The sites are back ins on one side of the park and pull through on the other the pull though only have 30 amps, so we choose the back in for the 50 Amps   You have a picnic table and a charcoal pit at each site.  Cars are parked on the asphalt and the rig is parked in the grass.  The corners are tight getting into each spot but with plenty of daylight a piece of cake.  Mike and I have it down in parking the rig one time does it now for us, WALKIE talkies are wonderful.  There are a lot of activities in the park, Texas Holdem, Card Bingo, 65, craft making, water aerobics, pool tournaments, pickle ball, and of course horseshoes.

Kathy the activities director is top notch, I rate her as number one in my book, she makes sure there is something going on all of the time, and allows members to put on activities also.  We have put on the Texas Holdem Tournaments 2 times a week all the time we were there and what fun.  Had as many as 35 come and on Thursday, Nancy and Ray leasers in the park have about 50 come.  Kathy also thanks you, she never says she needs help but her attitude makes you want to and that's what makes a park a great one.  Thanks Kathy hope to see you next year.

With this and all of the sight seeing around and of course we can't forget the casinos. So you will have fun at this park.

****Parks we would stay in again, large pull through, full hook ups,
well maintained, activities, 50/30 amps
***Parks we would stay but do not have activities full hook ups/30 amps & or /have back ins only
**Parks that do not have pull-through (back in only),30 amps, traffic noise, railroad noise
(since Mike retired from the railroad this is the number one thing we do not need to hear )
*Would absolutely not go back
