|Since we have been staying at our Resort parks, there are many, I have added a page where you can pick the park you want to see All Parks|
Pilot Knob RV Resort|
3707 W. Hwy 80
Winterhaven, CA 92283
Sunbelt Property (WHR)
Here is a park that is well maintained and a very friendly staff, it is just on the other side of Yuma going West, in fact once you pass the checkpoint for produce, it is the very next exit.
Our Site 159 Dec 4-Dec 14th 09
We were lucky to get a very nice corner site with lots of room for the dolly, my scooter, etc.
There is not much too do in the area, it's great if you have to go to Mexico for pharmacy, doctors, eye and dentist, as you are only minutes away. There are 2 casinos very close about 5-10 min. Shopping is all around the area, if you need a new RV or repairs, La Mesa RV is here. The area is known for dry Rv camping, a lot of RV'ers come to dry camp in the desert, however there is also a lot of sand so be prepared for those windy days which are abundant for the area.
The park has full hook-ups 30/50 amps, cable, Wi-FI and activities. We had to use AOR ($9.00 a night 30 amps) the parks under Western Horizon have cut their sites in half, (my opinion, so the parks can make you pay that $9-13 a night, instead of using ROD which does not cost you)
You will like the park as it is close to everything, and right off the 8 without hearing the freeway.
we would stay in again, large pull through, full hook ups,|
well maintained, activities, 50/30 amps
***Parks we would stay but do not have activities full hook ups 50/30 amps & or /have back ins only
**Parks that do not have pull-through (back in only),30 amps, traffic noise, railroad noise
(since Mike retired from the railroad this is the number one thing we do not need to hear )
*Would absolutely not go back
